My research focuses on the structure and functioning of microalgal communities in rivers and water bodies, on both a local and biogeographical scale. My work, carried out in collaboration with various partners, integrates the effect of the environment, dispersion and biotic interactions with the aim of studying the spatial and temporal dynamics of diatoms in particular, in a context of global change. Part of my work involves developing indicators to assess the ecological status of environments, in support of public policies.
